Children's Photography

We work with Tempest Photography to capture natural, happy photographs of your children that are also affordable to parents. Many of their highly trained Early Years photographers are parents themselves and they’re not just great at taking photos. They also know how to make the photography session as much fun as possible!

There is no obligation to purchase any of the photographs taken, however any parents wishing to place an order can do so either online or via our nursery. Prices start from just £5.

National Forest Adventure Farm

In order to learn about different animals, what they eat and how they change as they grow, nursery children went on a trip to National Forest Adventure Farm in Burton-On-Trent on Thursday 11 May 2017. Parents/carers and younger siblings also came along for what was a very fun and exciting day out. We all had a fantastic time! The children experienced and had fun learning about outdoor activities, nature, wildlife, and the countryside in a safe environment with a relaxed atmosphere. They also enjoyed feeding the guinea pigs. chickens and goats, and playing on the pillow trampoline.

Family Fun Day

On Saturday 15th July 2017 we hosted our Family Fun Day as we raised money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Derby Hospital. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and appreciate the time taken to come along and support the nursery event.

The weather was great, the food was delicious, the children had fun on the bouncy castle, having their faces painted and making arts & crafts and many people walked away with awesome items from our Raffle and Silent Auction.

We raised a total amount of £520, which will be used to buy sensory toys for older babies in the NICU unit.

Zoolab

In order to enthuse and excite our children about nature, the environment, and the world around them whilst helping them to achieve real curriculum outcomes, we invited Zoolab to come along and host a special Halloween workshop. They used a combination of ZooLab animals, songs, rhymes, and games to develop language, physical, social and emotional development. It also made for a powerful and unique bonding activity between the children and their nursery teachers!

The children took part in a Halloween story workshop about a witch and wizard, and were brave enough to hold some of the exotic animals and reptiles – including a snake, giant snail, hissing cockroach, guinea pigs and a tarantula! All the children and parents were really keen to get involved, and everybody had a great time.

Christmas Party

We had a fantastic time at our end of year Christmas Party. Children had fun on the bouncy castle, had their faces painted and took part in Christmas craft activities. We then had a surprise visit from Santa who brought lots of presents for us all to take home. Thank you to everyone who came, we appreciate the time taken to come along and support the nursery.
